The Westin Cape Town is an unmatched meetings, conference, and banqueting venue. We proudly offer some of the largest and most sophisticated hotel conference and banqueting facilities in the city, as well as direct connection to the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
With the infrastructure to support events of just about any size or description, the hotel boasts outstanding conference facilities, with 12 individual venues accommodating from 12 to 600 delegates. In addition, we offer safe underground parking and easy access for tour buses.
Innovative self selector menu options make our catering services unique and superior. Choose from state-of-the-art conference and audiovisual equipment, including sophisticated lighting and staging options, and fully remote-controlled meeting facilities.
Our conference facilities are supported by sophisticated communications technology, including IT hotspots on each level offering wireless connection for laptops. Business booths are available with High Speed Internet Access and international plugs.
Standard conferencing equipment offered includes data projectors, overhead projectors, white screens, plasma screens, and sound equipment. All conference rooms are remote-controlled allowing the client to dictate all aspects of the atmosphere, including light level, closing and opening of shades, room temperature, and audiovisual equipment.
All meeting rooms feature décor rails, telephone lines, and ISDN lines, as well as adjustable lighting levels, directional lighting, and feature lighting. The main ballroom features sockets in the ceiling adjacent to the prop rails, linking to an audiovisual room for stage lighting operations.

On the Old Harbour Level, our Grand Ballroom opens onto the Old Harbour Lobby and can be sub-divided into ballrooms East and West. A pillarless space able to accommodate 600, the Grand Ballroom is excellent as a main plenary room for congresses or conferences or as a large breakout venue. Also popular for gala dinners and other formal functions, the space can be transformed to suit the clients' inspiration. A large vehicle entrance allows for auto shows and other exhibitions.
The Old Harbour Lobby is found at the base of the Grand Staircase and serves well as a pre-function venue for a range of events. With a five-metre ceiling outfitted with skylights for ample natural light, this spacious and airy lobby lends itself ideally to pre-dinner drinks, conference registration and lunches, art exhibitions, and congress exhibitions.
Additional meeting venues located on the Old Harbour Level and opening onto the Old Harbour Lobby can be combined or reserved alone to accommodate from 40 to 190 guests reception-style. On the Mezzanine Level, we offer two boardrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offering natural lighting as well as a view of the city and Table Mountain in the distance. All our conference rooms feature plush furnishings and videoconferencing facilities.
