The Nahoon River is situated in East London in the Eastern Cape. It is to the west of Gonubie River and to the east of the Buffalo River harbour. The suburb of Nahoon is situated on its west bank, and Beacon Bay is on its east bank. It flows into the Indian Ocean through an estuary. Its mouth is located near Nahoon Reef which is known for attacks by Great White Sharks, but is a popular surfing spot. There is a small population of the endangered Eastern Province rocky in the Nahoon river.
