Jeffreys Bay is located just off the N2 highway southwest of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape Province. Jeffreys Bay hosts the annual Billabong ASP World Tour surfing event and is one of the five most famous surfing destinations in the world. Spectators and surfers from all over the world flock to this event.

Jeffreys Bay is famous for abundant calamari and seashells. The nearby Seekoei, Krom and Kabeljous river lagoons host numerous water birds, and are also ideal for watersports like boardsailing, canoeing, and fishing. Every year, migrating whales make their way to Witsand and Hermanus to give birth, and whales can be seen breaching almost every day during the season. The Kebeljous Nature Reserve near Jeffreys Bay is a walkabout reserve.
