Clanwilliam is a small town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated in the Cederberg municipality in the West coast region around 60km inland, close to Cederberg mountains. The area is known for rooibos tea and the Clanwilliam Dam.

Clanwilliam is situated in the Western Cape at the foot of the Cederberg mountains approximately 230 km from Cape Town. Clanwilliam has lots to offer tourists, such as birdwatching, historical buildings, rock art, the scenic beauty of the flowers, watersports and the beauty of the mountains.

Various hiking trails and 4x4 routes are available in the area. We have ample accommodation in and around the town. Clanwilliam is situated in an area of the Western Cape where Rooibos is planted and cultivated, the only place in the world. A visit to the Strassbergers factory is also a worthwhile visit where veldskoene can be bought from them in any size and colour.

Each year the district is transformed into a floral showcase.. Ramskop Nature Reserve at the Clanwilliam Dam Resort boasts 250 indigenous species of wild flowers. At the end of winter, the Flower Church becomes a hive of activity. This flower fête includes art, food stalls, concerts and a street carnival.
