Broederstroom is a small town on the Daspoortrand at the foothills of the Magaliesberg mountains in North West Province. Broederstroom is close to Pelindaba, which houses two nuclear reactors for research purposes. Broederstroom was founded in 1903 with the opening of a trading post in the area by the Jallapor family.
