Mogale Private Game Lodge is only 40 minutes from Johannesburg on the edge of the Mogale City Municipality (Krugersdorp). The lodge is approx one hour away from O.R. Tambo International Airport and approx 30 minutes from Krugersdorp International Airport. The lodge is set on 10ha of prime property bordering the Krugersdorp Nature Reserve and enjoys private access to the Reserve. Mogale Private Lodge is situated in a malaria-free area and makes it perfect for any function, family or couple.

The lodge offers game drives and bush walks with experienced guides, or simply enjoy our excellent cuisine next to the pool in Summer or a crackling fire in the Winter. For thrillseekers, quad biking and paintball activities are sure to turn any day into a day full of fun and memories.

The lodge is just a short drive away from other activities in the Mogale City Municipality area such as casinos, shopping and historic attractions. Take a trip back to ancient times when visiting the Wonder Cave and the Sterkfontein Caves, home of Mrs Ples and the Taung Child.

Mogale Private Game Lodge has 44 immaculately furnished rooms and two suites with every amenity to ensure a comfortable stay. Each room is en-suite and has a television and telephone. Take a dip in the pool, go for relaxing walk or simply enjoy the breathtaking sunset. Mogale has it all.

Crisp white linen, fluffy towels and spacious, comfortable rooms make all the difference. Mogale Private Game Lodge has two luxury Four Star Suites, twenty four luxurious Four Star twin double bed rooms and twenty one Four Star double rooms with a double bed or twin single beds, all en-suite and equipped with television and telephone.

Upstairs rooms (10 to 16) with their timber balconies overlook the reserve while ground floor rooms (1 to 9) open into the lush garden and pool area. The new rooms (17 to 24) all have views of the reserve. For the more adventurous we have eight (8) Self Catering units, each with a double bed and two bunk beds and fully equipped amenities and central ablution facilities.

The main lodge has a cozy bush atmosphere, where you can enjoy a bar lunch at our bush bar or have a relaxed meal in the lounge. The Four Star a La Carte restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After indulging in our chef's superb specialties, you can retire to the ladies bar for a night cap or a board game in front of the open fire.

1. Drive to Krugersdorp from anywhere by means of R28 (N14)

2. When over the hill, take off ramp into Robert Broom Drive

3. Continue for about 9kms (Munsieville on your right, through a small mountain pass).

4. At the T-junction, turn right into Rustenburg Road (R24 to Magaliesburg).

5. After about 1,5km you will pass the main entrance to the Krugersdorp Game Reserve on the right.

6. Continue past the reserve for another 3.7km. Continue past the Ventersdorp turn off on your left, until the Country Garage (Lodge signs will start appearing).

7. Turn right at the garage and continue for about 1.4km.

8. At the 4-way Stop turn right (Discover Lodge sign).

9. After a further 1km, you will turn right, into the Discover Lodge parking lot.
