The Breede River Valley region of the Western Cape stretches from Gouda in the west and McGregor in the south, to Montagu in the east and the Karoo in the north. The Breede River Valley is the largest fruit and wine producing valley in the Western Cape. Robertson is the centre of the horse breeding industry in the Western Cape and a major wine growing area in the Breede River Valley region. 20 km from Robertson you will find the village of McGregor with its whitewashed cottages and well preserved Victorian houses.
